Configure Outlook Mobile

Open the Outlook application on your cell phone.

If you are the first account to add to Outlook, click on the Add Account button.

If it’s not the first account, open the menu by clicking on the button in the top left corner, then on the settings icon, click on Accounts, and Add Account.

On the Found Accounts screen, turn off any account that is connected. Click on Continue.

Fill in the email address, and click Continue.

In the top right-hand corner, click on the icon with a question mark. Select Change Account Provider. Choose IMAP.

Click on Advanced Settings at the bottom of the page. Fill in the form:

  • Display Name: Your name, as it should appear in outgoing emails.
  • Description: The description of the account when viewed on the phone (e.g. Personal, work)
  • IMAP receiving server: mail.sooma.com; Port: 993
  • Security type: SSL/TLS
  • IMAP Username: The account email
  • IMAP Password: The account password
  • SMTP sending server: mail.sooma.com: Port: 465
  • Security type: SSL/TLS
  • SMTP Username: The account email
  • SMTP Password: The account password

Click on the icon with a tick in the top right corner.

Click Maybe later in response to the question about adding another account.

Your account is now configured for use in Outlook Mobile.
