Apple Mail (macOS)

  1. Open Mail. From the menu, choose Mail > Add Account….
  2. Choose Other Mail Account… and click Continue.
  3. Fill in your name, full email address and password and click Sign In.
  4. If Mail cannot set itself up, fill in:
    • Account type: IMAP
    • Incoming mail server: mail.sooma.com
    • Outgoing mail server: mail.sooma.com
    • User name: your full email address
  5. Click Sign In and choose the apps to use with the account (Mail and, if you wish, Notes).

To check the ports, open Mail > Settings > Accounts, choose the account and the Server Settings tab. Turn off Automatically manage connection settings and check:

Port SSL/TLS
Incoming (IMAP) 993 on
Outgoing (SMTP) 465 on

Contacts and calendars: on macOS, use System Settings > Internet Accounts > Add Account > Add Other Account and choose CalDAV account and CardDAV account, with the server mail.sooma.com, your full email address and your password. See How sync works.
