Set up email in Thunderbird

  1. Open Thunderbird. On first use, the setup wizard opens on its own; otherwise go to ☰ > Account Settings > Account Actions > Add Mail Account.
  2. Fill in Your full name, the full Email address and the Password. Click Continue.

  3. If Thunderbird finds the settings automatically, check that the servers are mail.sooma.com. Otherwise, or if other servers appear, choose Configure manually:

    Protocol Server Port Security Authentication
    Incoming IMAP mail.sooma.com 993 SSL/TLS Normal password
    Outgoing SMTP mail.sooma.com 465 SSL/TLS Normal password

    For both, the Username is your full email address.

  4. Click Re-test and then Done.
